Catalysis

Fuel production pathways in which small molecules (such as CO, CO₂, H₂, or N₂) are chemically combined over a catalyst to form larger fuel molecules. Use this tag when the defining step is catalytic fuel formation from gases or simple intermediates rather than biological conversion, direct thermal decomposition, or simple upgrading of existing oils. Often applicable to Haber-Bosch, FT, methanol synthesis, SME synthesis.
